Swan River Dressage is very excited to present to you an opportunity to have a series of lessons available in the coming months with Emily Symonds.
Emily spent 6 years in Germany working for Warwick and Carolina McLean, where she had the opportunity to learn all aspects of dressage training, from groundwork and starting young horses, to preparing them for the higher levels, and enjoyed riding and competing from young horse classes up to Small Tour. During her time abroad, Emily also purchased her beloved horse, Spice Guy, who she has been very successful with in the competition arena.
Emily believes in a patient, systematic approach that focuses on the horse's natural development, ensuring clear communication and understanding at every step. By prioritising consistency and the horse's well-being, Emily aims to create relaxed, willing horses and confident, capable riders. Emily is excited to share her knowledge and help horses and riders of all levels.
We have 45 minute lessons available for members at the SRD subsidised price.

Swan River Dressage is very excited to present to you an opportunity to have a series of lessons with Equestrian WA 2025 Dressage Rider of the Year Stephanie Spencer-McManus. Stephanie is a Western Australian dressage rider and coach based in the Swan Valley. Having trained and competed horses through to Grand Prix level, Stephanie brings extensive experience to her coaching. She further developed her skills while working for Olympic dressage rider Mary Hanna, gaining valuable insight into high-performance training and competition preparation. Stephanie is passionate about developing harmonious partnerships between horse and rider, and supports clients of all levels in achieving their goals.
